Disconnected

Drawing influences from modern metal icons such as Alter Bridge, Gojira and Deftones, the uprising French melodic metal quintet DISCONNECTED unveils the new single ‘Life will always find its way’ on November 19, 2021.

The song comes out after the success of ‘Unstoppable’, topping 1.5 millions streams, the first single of the band’s anticipated upcoming album “We are Disconnected”, expected to be out in April 2022.

Already playlisted today in 17 countries (Breaking Hard Metal on Apple Music,  TOP OF THE CORE on Spotify …), “Life will always find its way” is a statement to raise ecological awareness, and the urgency to act.

Mixed and mastered by Jelly Cardarelli and Symheris, “Life will always find its way” comes along with an official music video, directed by Laurent Hart.

DISCONNECTED played numerous shows in Europe, opened for Tremonti on his 2018 European tour (24 shows across 17 countries), for Judas Priest in January 2019 (Zenith of Paris), as well as Mass Hysteria in March and November of 2019.

The band will be playing major festivals in 2022, including Rock Fest in Barcelona, Wacken Open Air in Germany, festival of Cabaret Vert, and has just been added to the historical lineup of HELLFEST (MAINSTAGE), alongside GUNS’N'ROSES,  METALLICA, MEGADETH,  ALICE COOPER, NIN, etc..

“Given that we started from scratch back in 2018, it’s insane that we have toured with some of the very best metal bands in the world such as Tremonti and Judas Priest. For us this is living proof that dreams can come true, and hard work pays off.”– DISCONNECTED

Laszlo Jones

Beirut-based multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, and producer Gilles Jan Petersen, better known under his stage name Laszlo Jones, just released his latest EP “Beyond The Door”.

Delivering a unique sound reflecting his multiple talents, his many travels and vivid creativity, Jones continues his musical journey with this record mixed by Kane Churko (In this moment, 5 Fingers Death Punch, Ozzy Osbourne, Papa Roach, Skillet, Disturbed) at the Hideout studio in Las Vegas (NV, USA), and recorded at the Besco Recording in Paris (France), with Michael Buyens (Engineer/Producer).

“The 5 tracks of the EP all deal with (the inevitable) death, from hallucinatory perspectives. A futuristic dark world, tinged with rage and a certain realism. It’s a sensory journey, poetic and violent, where I consciously mixed the authentic beauty of the images and the chilling sensation they provide” - Laszlo Jones

Musician, producer, composer, singer,
DeLaurentis is one and more.

©dominiquegau

It’s the story of a French little girl who would watch her dad playing music, and quickly understood that musical notes could spring up and fly away from her arms, her hands, her fingers. The music was a part of her. With this revelation, the sky opened up to her.

After several years spent at the Conservatory, she went back to her hometown, where alone, she learned from her new strange friends : keyboards, machines, and computers.
She worked. A lot. With strength and temper, pleasure and ease.
This young woman progressively became DeLaurentis.

DeLaurentis settled in the French capital, Paris, in 2015, and released her first two EPs. She started to get noticed then, with her unique universe and music videos. Major French publications such as Trax, Rock & Folk and Les Inrockuptibles started talking about her music, and soon after, some of her songs were featured in national commercials, and her single “A Big Part of A Big Sun”, in the TV series “How to Get away with murder”.

Contemporary and vintage synthesizers mixed with the piano, loops and arpeggios creating sound walls around her melodies.

DeLaurentis builds a wall around her melodies where old and modern synthesizers, pianos, loops and arpeggios mix together. Her universe is described as « electro-cinematic » music, bright and dark at the same time.

Upon the release of her new album “Unica” on September 3, 2021, DeLaurentis has been featured on major publications worldwide, and she's rising to the top, being invited to all the TV shows in France and being booked for major festivals in 2022.

She was solicited by Ableton for several masterclasses in Europe and in the USA, and the famous DJ Joachim Garraud invited her in his Youtube show.

The production of her first album began in the summer of 2018. She spent two years in a spacious and luminous studio on the Canal Saint-Martin in Paris, continuously intensifying her relationship with her instruments and technology.
This is how DeLaurentis created her digital sister : Unica.

The 10 tracks album is a digital-tale that brings forth the emotions between a human artist and her machine.
It’s a strong and sensitive story about the fusion of two contemporary beings, in an enchanting mix of reality and imagination, flesh and processors, in contact with heady and effective tracks.
Her voice is the leading role in her musical films. Rhythmic or melodic, harmonious or vaporous, it is the blood that gives humanity to her addictive and synthetic travels.
Her musical inspirations are electronic, contemporary and cinematic at the same time. Like any artist, the link between music and image is essential in the creative process.
Inspired by Ryuichi Sakamoto, Max Richter, Brian Eno, Oneothrix Point Never and of course Laurie Anderson, one of the first women who pioneered electronic music.

DeLaurentis collaborated with Dan Black, Yaron Herman, Daymark and Fabien Waltmann to produce this album. The song “Somewhere In Between” was recorded in collaboration with the artificial intelligence developed by the Spotify CTRL research lab, supervised by SKYGGE, a true pioneer in the AI world.

With her album Unica, DeLaurentis succeeded in creating the ideal connection between the woman and the machine ; the missing piece that fit between electronic music and A.I.

Homer Marrs

Featured on the cover of the September issue of Bear World Magazine, Homer Marrs releases his new song “Ben,” that he describes as the acoustic ballad Morrissey and Billy Corgan haven't had the chance to co-write yet.” An alt-rock pining for unrequited love, the song features bleeding-heart crooning over undulating chords. The title was selected as a nod to Michael Jackson, Crispin Glover, and Veruca Salt.

The video explores a performer’s process of coping with heartache and trying to make art during the grieving process while forcing himself to continue in his craft. The lyrics allude to alcoholism, substance abuse, regret, humiliation, and shame.

Homer Marrs was discovered nationwide for his live performance of “The Facebook Song” on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” in support of the first National UnFriend Day, the Los Angeles–based indie rock musician Homer Marrs is back, after the success of his song “Happy Pride from the End of the World”, hitting #8 on the LGBTQ Music Chart, and his cover of Danzig's “Sistinas” that stayed 12 weeks on the AltQ Radio Top 20, and reaching #1 in August 2021.

A one-of-a-kind personality, connecting the LGBTQ community world around his project :

Homer reached out to men's boutique fashion label House of 1912 : “they created the two shirts for me to wear in the video. They are an Austin, TX-based label that makes "limited edition bespoke fashion for big men that want to be noticed." They have asked me to walk their runway in December at their collection show and I said yes!”

An established figure in the LGBTQ community, Homer Marrs’ quirky,

seriocomic lyrics and gay flair also come from another talent of his own :

He was a touring comedian who performed sketch and improv comedy with Chicago's Second City before he became a musician.

Buel

BUEL’s dreamy universe and distinct style delivers her new song "Small Talk" with her sobriety, precision and class signature.

“Small Talk is about the ingenuine daily conversations between people. Even Though it’s pretty common and seen as an innocent aspect of our daily lives, I observed that oftentimes it tends to make people feel uncomfortable because talking to someone without giving any depth and sharing words to pass the moment can only be kind but not real.”-- Buel

Chainsaw Rainbow

CHAINSAW RAINBOW is the minimal, raw and primitive solo project of L.A.-based singer-songwriter / guitarist / producer / auteur DOMINIC MASSARO.

Dark and meditative, “Blonde with dark roots”, is the opening song of his new album Pink Noise Overdrive.

Combining warped drones, pulsing noisy distorted guitars and colorful lyrics, CHAINSAW RAINBOW has released several albums in recent years, including “Fashion Show,” which, in 2018, was named one of the Top 10 California shoegaze albums of the year by “Shoegazer Alive Blog.”

In the tradition of bands like THE VELVET UNDERGROUND, JESUS AND MARY CHAIN and MY BLOODY VALENTINE, CHAINSAW RAINBOW continues that creative path where noise and pop song structures intersect, and adds a mix of psychedelia and overdriven guitar crunch.

Sinner Sinners

After spending the last several years living, performing and thriving in the greater Los Angeles, CA area, punk-influenced rock band SINNER SINNERS – founded by husband and wife duo Sam and Steve Thill – have incontrovertibly found their groove. After marching their way onto the national scene in 2014 with the release of their raucous, aggressive Nic Jodoin-produced (Black Rebel Motorcycle Club) second full-length, XI, SINNER SINNERS return in March 2017 with Optimism Disorder – an auditory Molotov cocktail exploding with the intensity of early ’80s hardcore fused with an incendiary ’70s goth punk ethos.

“This record took 18 months to complete – we went through some very tough shit in our lives during this time, which is the main reason it took so long. As a result, it’s definitely the darkest stuff we’ve ever written,” states guitarist/frontman Steve Thill. “We went for something darker, moodier and heavier and at the same time took a more classic rock approach to it.”

Further exploring the remote reaches of their experimental skillset, Optimism Disorder is set lyrically in front of a sunny backdrop of societal hypocrisy. The 11-track album grabs you by the neck with the swinging new track, “California”,Thill continues, “The general idea behind the title and the songs is that it really seems to us that our generation is choking on its own motivational garbage and big dreams. Somehow, we always try to convince ourselves that we deserve better, if not the best, always wanting what others have and all this shit. Things could always be better but it sure as hell could be a lot worst, it’s always a matter of perspective. So, we flipped the problem around and had fun with it. Optimism Disorder is about the damages of optimism, religions, group mentality and all kinds of other mental disorders as well as alcoholism, depression, addiction, loss… this is a pretty sinister album made with a whole lot of love and we can guarantee it will ruin your day in just 35 minutes!”

The LP was recorded at Rancho de La Luna in Joshua Tree, California (mostly known for giving birth to the Desert Sessions and recording artists such as Queens of the Stone Age, Iggy Pop, Kyuss, Arctic Monkeys), assorted Los Angeles hide-outs, and engineered in Clermont-Ferrand France. Optimism Disorder was produced by Adam Greenspan (Refused, INVSN, Maximo Park) and Thomas Bellier (Spindrift, Blaak Heat), mixed by Pascal Mondaz in France, and mastered by Simon Capony at Basalte Studio. The album also features additional engineering by Nic Jodoin (Black Rebel Motorcycle Club) and Jon Russo. Last but very not least, vocalist/guitarist Jesse Hughes of rock n’ roll groundbreakers Eagles Of Death Metal makes his mark on Optimism Disorder via flute contributions.

“Recording at Rancho de la Luna was a pretty surreal experience and working with Adam was a big step for us because we didn’t know each other before working on this record,”adds Thill. “There was a lot less fucking around than usual, he’s very serious and pro, but he brought things out of us we had no idea we could do.”

More recently in 2019 the band went in the studio to record “black hearts” and “bleached out” to complete Puritanism, a compilation of singles released with British label Dissention Records and distributed by The Orchard Music.

SINNER SINNERS have shared the stage with bands such as Refused, The Sonics, Black Flag and have opened for Eagles of Death Metal and Nashville Pussy in the US and on their European tour. Before the global pandemic Sinner Sinners had a few very successful years, the band is ready to hit the road yet again and perform as soon as possible.

Sinner Sinners burns with a neurotic post-punk brightness guaranteed to spontaneously combust your senses on impact. Stay tuned for more tracks, videos and other media being released in advance of the album’s release.
